Description
Green-cheeked conures are among the most beloved companion parrots in aviculture. Small but full of personality, they are playful, affectionate, and highly intelligent. These charming birds can learn to talk, though their vocabulary is limited and their voice has a gentle, gravelly tone. Many enjoy being held, and with patience, they can master fun tricks such as lying on their backs, “kissing,” shaking, hanging upside down, using simple tools, and even potty training.

Vocalization and Training
Green-cheeked conures are generally quiet, making them ideal pets even for apartment living. They are the most soft-spoken of the conure species and can learn a variety of tricks with consistent, positive training. Like many baby birds, they may occasionally bite, but this behavior is normal and typically diminishes within the first few months with proper socialization and patience.

Lifespan & Diet
With proper care, green-cheeked conures can live 25–30 years in captivity, although the average lifespan is often closer to 10–15 years due to neglect or improper diet.
