About Sun Cheek Conures

The Sun Cheek Conure, a vibrant mutation of the Green Cheek Conure, is one of the most popular companion parrots in aviculture. Known for their playful nature, affectionate personalities, and intelligence, they are often described as having a “big personality in a small body.”

These little parrots are highly interactive and can learn:

• Talking (with a gravelly yet charming voice)

• Fun tricks like lying on their backs, giving kisses, shaking, and hanging upside down

• Minor tool use and even basic potty training

Temperament & Training

Sun Cheek Conures are among the quietest conures, making them excellent companions even for apartment living. With patience and consistent training, they can develop a small vocabulary and enjoy learning tricks.

Like all young parrots, they may go through a short nippy phase, but with proper handling and socialization, this behavior fades quickly, leaving you with a cuddly, affectionate companion.

Lifespan & Diet
